Legislation regarding the organization and functioning of the institution
The Romanian Marine Research Institute (IRCM) "Grigore Antipa" was established in 1970, based on HCM no. 256 of March 16, 1970, published in the Official Gazette no. 20 of March 17, 1970, through the merger of several small research institutions.
In 1999, by Decision no. 686 of August 23, 1999, published in the Official Gazette no. 434 of September 6, 1999, the "Grigore Antipa" National Marine Research and Development Institute was established through the reorganization of the Romanian Marine Research Institute.
In 2009, by Decision no. 1442 of November 18, 2009, published in the Official Gazette of Romania no. 205 of December 23, 2009, I.N.C.D.P.M. was established. Bucharest, following the merger of three institutes: I.C.I.M. Bucharest, I.N.C.D.M. "Grigore Antipa" Constanta and I.N.C.D. "Danube Delta" Tulcea.
In 2010, by Decision no. 506 of May 26, 2010, published in the Official Gazette of Romania no. 382 of June 9, 2010, I.N.C.D.M. "Grigore Antipa" Constanța acquires the status of subunit with legal personality.
In 2015, by Decision no. 253 of April 15, 2015, published in the Official Gazette of Romania no. 291 of April 29, 2015, the national research and development institutes in the field of environmental protection, ecology and sustainable development are established, hereinafter referred to as national institutes, Romanian legal entities under public law that carry out their activity under the coordination of the National Authority for Scientific Research and Innovation ( ANCSI), through the reorganization of the National Research and Development Institute for Environmental Protection and the subunits with legal personality the National Marine Research and Development Institute "Grigore Antipa" - I.N.C.D.M. Constanta and the "Danube Delta" National Research and Development Institute - I.N.C.D.D.D. Tulcea
